If you aren’t familiar with OpenAI’s new ChatGPT platform, it is pretty powerful use case for artificial intelligence. ChatGPT receives text prompts to then output what should be otherwise engaging content on the fly – custom built for each prompt. They are essentially all unique, and ChatGPT can produce everything from poetry and film scripts to website copy based on an initial prompt. The more detailed the initial prompt, we have found the better the output – but even simple things can get very involved results.

Writing descriptions of our application is great, but what this technology allows companies like Nrby.io to do is significantly more valuable. Nrby.io already uses artificial intelligence to help make future predictions from our robust data set on events in real time. For example, if you download the application you’ve probably noticed the Recommendation Score you have for each event, indicated by the circular icon with a percentage. The higher the percentage, the more likely you are to enjoy that event based on things you’ve enjoyed in the past. Another example, is if you are an event creator, we use the same data to help make suggestions on which day of the week to host your event or even the price for your tickets based on what else is also happening nearby that week. This results in better revenue for event creators and better quality of events for users.
